Some of these people have never been to a real burger bar before. This IS as good as it gets. Home style burgers, amazing atmosphere, old locals every time I have gone. I worked at Signal Place for a few years and loved my burger and beer Friday.
I recommend the swordfish sammie, the Divine if your hungry, the Jr. Divine if your light.
I was just checking in here to see if they were still open due to all the recent Ports 'O Call activity. I suggest everyone interested or in the area looking stop in. They are old school, friendly, and know a fair bit of the history of the Port and the town.

My girlfriend and I walked towards the entrance and were immediately denied by someone who walked out and told us "We're not taking any more orders", which is odd, because I don't think I've ever been denied entry into any restaurant or bar. I sat down on a bench in front of the store and waited to see if anyone else was denied entry.

Another couple, two elderly white people, were able to walk in and grab a seat. Why weren't they denied entry like us? Is it because they weren't brown like my girlfriend and I?

    Truly disappointed.

Born and raised in Pedro and I couldn't believe I had never been here. We had burgers and chili fries. The food was good nothing extraordinary but matches the prices. Service was good too.  The best part about the place is all the history inside.  The walls are filled with memories. Afterward we took a stroll along the boats. Great cozy spot definitely recommend.

Wish I'd read some of the reviews before stopping off to this random establishment with my family for lunch. Can't really comment on the food as the Neo-Nazi hostess said they were not "taking any more food orders" because "the kitchen was backed up." Strange because all of the other seated patrons (whose skin happened to be white) had either food or place settings in front of them expecting food. In my 40+ years on this earth, I've never been refused service because of the color of my mellow yellow skin. Even worse, I can't believe they denied service to another Yelper due to his disability. A lesson learned that racism and Eugenics are alive and well, even here in sunny Southern California. My deepest regret is that I missed out on their Sunday special: the Filet o' Führer sandwich with a side of bigot beans. Shucks.

Shitty food served by racists. Don't give your hard earned money to these tacky people.
